Welcome to first grade! My name is Miss Andrea Arney. I am excited to be your teacher this year and I can't wait to meet you. This is my sixth year teaching first grade at Louisville Elementary. I LOVE being a leopard! I also coach the Varsity Lady Leopard softball team.
Just to let you know a little about myself, I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2013 with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. During my time at BGSU, I played on the softball team. Right after graduation, I received my reading endorsement from BGSU. I am currently working on my master's degree in Reading from BGSU. I will be finished in December. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and two sweet puppies, Cami and Maggie. Cami is a Goldendoodle and Maggie is a Black Lab. I also love reading, playing sports, and being outside.
I look forward to getting to know each of you, and working as partners to help your child reach their goals throughout the school year. Please know that my door is always open to you. I check my e-mail often, so that is usually the best and easiest way to communicate quickly. You can contact me at: [email protected].
This site is intended for all of us to stay connected throughout the school year. The Homework tab will have our weekly homework sheets. They will also be sent home in our take home folders each week. The Spelling tab will contain our spelling words for the week. The Math, Reading, and Little Leopard Techie tabs all contain additional resources that can be used at home.
I look forward to a wonderful school year!
